Klamath Hospice Volunteer Recruitment
Klamath Falls, Oregon – Klamath Hospice, Inc. is a non-profit, community based agency that is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the terminally ill and their family members. One of the ways in which quality of life is enhanced for our patients and family members is through the use of volunteers.
Klamath Hospice is currently seeking Patient/Family and Fundraising Volunteers. Duties may include providing respite for caregivers, visiting patients, assisting with office functions, or assisting with fundraising events. We have many volunteer opportunities!

Office Assistance |
 |
Assist with office work such as copying, filing, stuffing and addressing envelopes, assembling packets, etc. |
Thrift Store |
 |
Our attractive resale shop, “Treasures” is staffed with volunteers who donate their time to sort merchandise, run the cash register, and assist our customers. Treasures is open Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. |
Fundraising and special projects |
 |
Fundraising is the lifeblood of our organization. Throughout the year, our volunteers assist with special events and fundraisers. This is a great way to share your talents and have fun while you’re at it! |
Patient/Family Assistance |
 |
Help hospice patients/family members in their homes, with everything from respite care to emotional support, running errands or simply lending an ear or a supportive shoulder. Training is required to become a Patient/Family Volunteer. Watch for classes throughout the year. |
Bereavement Care |
 |
Bereavement volunteers make phone calls to offer emotional support to bereaved family members of our Klamath Hospice patients. Our children’s bereavement program, Camp Evergreen, is an annual camp experience for youth who have suffered the loss of a loved one. |
Bedside Vigil |
 |
The Caring Companions Program includes specially trained volunteers who provide a supportive and calming presence to patients who are actively dying. This is accomplished through silent presence, playing soft music, and providing a gentle touch. Training is required to become a Caring Companion Volunteer. Watch for classes throughout the year. |
