Volunteer Opportunities

“Sharing moments…..changing lives”

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Klamath Hospice.  One of the ways in which quality of life is enhanced for our patients and family members is through the use of volunteers. There are many simple and powerful ways that our volunteers assist our patients and families.  Specialized training is provided for every type of volunteer.  Opportunities for involvement include:

Bereavement Volunteer
Provides a friendly shoulder to lean on; offering support through phone calls or home visits.

Caring Companion Volunteer
Impart a supportive and calming presence to patients who are in their final hours.

Life Stories Volunteer
Provide an opportunity to record a patient’s life history utilizing video, audio and/or print.

Patient/Family Volunteer
Offer additional support for Klamath Hospice families through reading to patients, social visits, and more.

Special Projects Volunteer
Opportunities include office work, hospice lending library, Camp Evergreen, assistance with memorial events, fundraising and more.

Treasures Thrift Store Volunteer
Staffed with volunteers who donate their time to sort merchandise, run the cash register, and assist our customers; all proceeds benefit Klamath Hospice patients and families.  Treasures is open Monday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
